Fishing In Waders
Fishing is a very flexible sport. There are all kinds of ways you can fish. You can go out on a boat into the middle of a lake or an ocean, or you can just cast from shore. Fishing from the shore is a much more economical way to fish, but it is somewhat limiting. There is a way around this, however. If you use waders, large rubber boots, you can walk out up to your thighs or chest in water and start fishing. This allows you to reach deeper water while avoiding the large expense of a boat.
As mentioned before, there are different types of waders. You have chest waders, which look much like overalls and protect you up to your chest. You also have hip waders or hip boots, which, as their name implies, protect you only up to your hips. When you are shopping for waders, make sure you try on several pairs in order to find a pair that fit you the best since you do not want to be out fishing and have you waders be too tight uncomfortable or too loose and falling off you.
When you get your waders home, some fisherman recommend gluing strips of carpet to the bottom of the feet. This is because when you are wading in the water, the rocks can sometimes be covered in algae, which makes them extremely slippery. The pieces of carpet help to give your waders more traction. When you are walking in waders, be sure to walk very slowly and always look where you place your feet.
