Trout is an oily fish that is related to the salmon. It can be found in both fresh water and salt water. It is a rich source of protein and healthy fat. It is also large making it an ideal fish for game fishing. The trout is a lazy fish and it does not come to the surface easily. You need to lure it with the right tools if you are harbouring any hopes of catching it. To get an effective natural lure you have to find the type of food the trout feed on in their habitats. These include the insects, crustaceans and small fish found in the trout’s environment. This can take up a lot of time. However, you can find these natural lures at the local trout fishing supplies shop. There are so many lures available in the market and it is important that you choose one that you will not have difficulty in using. Some of the techniques of trout fishing lures are as follows:-
Spoons – Are one such trout fishing lures which is used for shallow or surface fishing. They are especially a good choice for people who are just beginning with their trout adventure. Spoons come in all shapes and sizes and you need to pick out the most suitable one for it to be effective. Always remember that while using spoons use the right weight so that they can sink deep into the water and attract the trout with its wobbly, natural motion. The universal popularity of the spoon worldwide has caused it to evolve to an all species all season favorite.
Flat fish- -Is a type of fishing lure that is considered as one of the most productive lures when catching trout. It comes in different sizes and colors. After assembling your fishing reel and rod, you need to tie a swivel to the end of your fishing line and attach the flat fish lure to the clasp of your swivel. Once done, you can now begin fishing by casting the flat fish in an area abundant with trout. Mini stick bait. Mini stick bait resembles a small fish or the trout itself and is a great tool to attract the trout. The correct method to use this trout fishing lure is to drop it onto the surface and then let it sink slowly underneath. The slow sinking of the stick bait makes for a dying fish and is great way to fool the trout to come running for it.

Swings, Roostertails, Mepps, and Pantherartin. You reel it as fast as you could to keep the spinner blade rotating. Sizes of the inline spinner would differ depending on the size of the water where you are fishing and the sizes of the fish commonly found in the water. What makes fish sick? Part 1: contaminated water
Fish is an excellent source of protein, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D, making it a nutritious addition to the diet. Unfortunately, along with being a great source of nutrients, some fish also contain certain contaminants that may be detrimental to your health.
In this three-part series, we will discuss DDT and PCB contamination in fish, reduce the health of their risks and opportunities, your risk of contamination. In Part 1 we will describe how these chemicals permeated in our waters and where they came from.
Toxic chemicals that were banned 30 years ago or a move to us today. We are still of these harmful chemicals affected because our waters are still polluted. Despite the many years of continuous clean up the pollutants are still in possession of a threat to our health. Events such as the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico are occurring every day on smaller scales, the release of persistent chemicals in our world.
For our purposes, the chemicals I am referring, DDT and PCBs. These special chemicals a danger to people who operate in Southern California fishing. Millions of pounds of DDT and PCBs were dumped into the ocean from the southern coast of California between the 1940s and 1970s. DDT in the water off White Point in the Pacific Ocean was in a sea area as the Palos Verdes Shelf released known (near the island of Catalina.) Around the same time were PCBs in the Los Angeles basin, which found its way out into dumped our water of the ocean. Currently, sediments of the seafloor with a high concentration of PCBs and DDT, which are contaminated from the Palos Verdes shelf, to the Santa Monica Bay. Although these toxins were banned and are no longer discharged into the ocean, run through the backlog of these impurities in the sea and infiltrate the fish that swim in these waters every day. These toxins contaminate the fish and as a result, harm our health when we eat these fish.
