While vacationing in Fort Myers this week I was bass fishing one morning in the pond behind my in-laws house at Colonial Country Club and just when I thought my line was snagged I felt a hard tug and realized it was a 4 foot alligator!!! It was about a 45 minute struggle to get it on shore so I could try and release the hook and set it free and one it was on shore it ended up wrestling itself free….my wife, mother in law and 2 children got a big kick out of the whole event and now I owe my mother in law a new pool net which the alligator chomped and chewed!!! Just when I thought Bass Fishing couldn’t get any better……
